Simply Stronger currently provides phase 3 cardiac rehabilitation support in the form of 1:1 appointments with Tom, our cardiac rehabilitation specialist. Coming soon to Simply Stronger, we will also provide group based cardiac rehabilitation in the form of a supervised exercise and education program to improve heart health and build confidence in what your body is capable of.

Cardiac rehabilitation is a supportive exercise and education program, designed to help individuals recover from heart related conditions and improve their overall cardiovascular health. Through supervised exercise and guidance around lifestyle changes cardiac rehabilitation aims to enhance your heart function, reduce your risk factors that can lead to other cardiac complications, and improve your overall function for the long term.

What is Cardiac Rehab?

Cardiac rehabilitation can be divided into four phases:

  • Phase 1 (Inpatient): Begins in the hospital focusing on early recovery and education.

  • Phase 2 (Outpatient): A supervised program with monitored exercise and lifestyle support.

  • Phase 3 (Community-Based): Supervised exercise to build independence and maintain heart health. - Where Simply Stronger comes in.

  • Phase 4 (Maintenance): Ongoing self-managed exercise and healthy lifestyle habits for long-term heart health.

Phases of Cardiac Rehab?

  • Post Heart attack (myocardial infarction)
